Yay! Finally something new. Enjoyed making this, but took a while.
Made of own resources, and a special thanks to my sister Olga Gourko and her fiance Mitch Hodge for taking pictures for me in New Zealand - doors, windows, roofs, ladder.
I'm sorry I can't provide links to specific photos, they are not available online.
Enjoy! Full view recommended.
Serious?!! DD? Unbelievable. I cried a little. Thank you to dienutza [link] and wesley-souza [link] for suggesting and to ^SanguineVamp [link] for featuring!
Alright, let me just say that this is VERY original. I really like this idea and haven't seen this before. Something that not many people can master, is the correct lighting (what looks good, what doesn't). Let me just say that you have certainly grasped this concept and you are very advanced. Moving on to textures, this is incredibly life-like yet it also has kind of a fantasy vibe to it. I love the little house on his back! Your drawing allows the reader to use their imagination, letting them think up where the snail is going and who is in his little shell! This is so cute! I love it : )
I love the colors, I love the mix of realistic and fanciful. The whole concept is absolutely lovely. Love the composition and great balance of all the individual pieces creating a completely balanced composition. I think perhaps the thing I find the most delightful is the lap with the sparkles around it. Creates a magical image that makes you wish you could enter that little door and visit what undoubtedly is pure magic inside. I really love this pieceand think you did an amazing job throughout the entire piece, including even the perfect blurring at just the right spots. Amazing job! I love it
